Melt Pressure Transducers

Melt Pressure Transducers

Gneuss Melt Pressure Transducers operate on the proven principle of strain gauge technology. The pressure is transferred from the measuring diaphragm (which is flush with the melt channel) via a capillary system to a second diaphragm. The capillary system is filled either with mercury or with a mercury-free medium. The second diaphragm is fitted with a strain gauge. Using the linear change in resistance in relation to deflection, an electric output signal is provided. The special membrane technology guarantees a very long operating life, even under the toughest conditions.

The anti-adhesion coating reduces the risk of damage caused by frozen plastic melts.
